When looking at a sackbut, the first thing that someone will probably think is that it appears to closely resemble the trombone. The sackbut is, in fact, the ancestor of the trombone and was often used in music during the Baroque and Renaissance periods. It is a member of the brass family, which is obvious to most people, and was very popular in the past. As time went on and music changed, the sackbut started to lose its popularity as newer instruments took its place. Many might not think that the sackbut is used today, but it is starting to become an interest for many musicians in modern music. The original name of this particular instrument is interesting and there is some speculation as to where it came from. Regardless of where its original name came from, the instrument is now usually referred to as a trombone, which is a name that is thought Yamaha fg700s notes to have originated from Italy. The predecessor to this instrument is the trumpet, a simpler instrument that is also a member of the brass instrument family. The change to the sackbut is believed to have happened during the late 14th century. It was also during this time that the instrument was altered to include bends, curves and eventually loops that make the instrument recognizable as the modern trombone. After the major changes were made to the instrument, some minor alterations occurred later on to perfect the instrument. There were four different sizes of the instrument in order to hit different pitches, including the alto, tenor, bass and double bass. As mentioned before, the popularity of the sackbut declined as trombones and other instruments were favored over them in the newer music; however, the instrument did not completely die away.

How to Choose A Guitar Amp Speaker
An electric guitar speaker is a loudspeaker specifically the driver (transducer) part designed for use in or with the guitar amplifier of an electric guitar. Installed in a cabinet with amplification and possibly multiple speakers. Typically these drivers produce only the frequency range relevant to guitars which is similar to a regular woofer type driver which is approximately 75Hz to 5kHz. The range of sounds in terms of Hz which include the highs, middle range and low level sounds in a guitar speaker have a narrow range of sound compared to a stereo speaker. The two types of speakers are like comparing apples and oranges. In other words, their range and type of sound as well as the intended purposes are different and not interchangeable. The cones of these drivers typically range in size from 6.5in to 15in with 10 and 12in models b leather guitar strap eing the most popular. As with all loudspeaker drivers, the magnets are usually made from Alnico, ceramic, or neodymium with higher quality Alnico magnets reserved for expensive models. Well-known guitar speaker manufacturers include Fane, Jensen, Celestion, Eminence, Electro-Voice, JBL, Weber, and A Brown Sound (Tone Tubby). The sounds that are considered to be vintage blues vibes can be duplicated by certain brands and types of speakers. Other music genres such as metal or jazz can be duplicated with the appropriate speaker for intended music type. Taking into consideration that speakers have subtle differences that not everyone can hear. It takes a veteran musician or someone with excellent or trained hearing to hear some of the differences. In the end if you get the chance to replace a speaker/s, find the one that suits your style.

Marching Snare Drum Headskevlar or Mylar?
Marching season is right around the corner and as schools and individuals prepare to purchase new marching snare drum heads for their Marching Snare Drums, the age old question of Kevlar versus Mylar will once again become a topic of debate. While there may be some aspects of the discussion that are of a “personal opinion” nature, there are also several aspects that are factual and may help a person make a better decision on what will work best for your situation. A Mylar drum head will provide a more natural and realistic feel with far more “give” to allow the player a more comfortable playing experience. Mylar Marching Snare Side Drum Heads such as the Remo Clear Mylar Snare Side Drum Head or the Evans MS3 Snare Side Drum Head provide a natural response and overall tonality not found in the Kevlar guitar strap locks style counterparts. Yes, even the bottom head (which by the way is equally as important to change as frequently if not more than the top head) will affect the playability and tonality of the Snare Drum…no matter how much you like to crank it up. Just as this is based on fact, there are also a few bits of knowledge that are useful when choosing to use Mylar for your bottom head. Mylar does require more upkeep and attention than Kevlar. Because Mylar stretches far more than Kevlar (what do you expect from a material that can stop a bullet!), that stretching will cause the drum head to dip or go out of tune more frequently. This requires more time to tune and keep all of the drums in the line in tune with each other. The other aspect of Mylar versus Kevlar debate is certainly the overall cost factor.

Katy Perry California Gurls Official Music Video Uncensored Version Exposed
Katy Perry California Gurls Official Music Video Uncensored Version ExposedEvery few years, we all hear songs about California that define that state for a few years until the next. Back in the ’90s, it was Tupac and Dr. Dre’s “California Love.” Last decade, it was “California” by Phantom Planet. Hell, there is a laundry list of iconic songs about the state.Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” is setting out to be the next California theme song. Let’s see how it measures up to the rest…Watch Katy Perry California Gurls Official Music Video Uncensored Version Exposed HereLast time I heard Katy was a couple of years ago when she blew onto the scene with her hit, “I Kissed A Girl.”The song might have been provocative had I not been in college at the time–among Ani DiFranco’s tunes and girls kissing other girls to make a titillating statement, it all felt a little passe, a guitar strap ctually.Anyway, Katy wrote the song “California Gurls” apparently as a West Coast answer to “Empire State of Mind,” because there weren’t enough songs repping for California. She’s apparently unfamiliar with the songs we already listed. Or the countless others, I guess. But, regardless, what about the music?Ah. Well, the house-music keys and beat sound suspiciously like another song that “TiKs” me off to no end. Katy tends to show up in some places with that dollar-sign girl, too, so the derivative sound is not surprising. But every line in the track is a clich–”where the grass is really greener,” “sex on the beach” and so on. The most egregious call out of all, though? Her “Daisy Dukes” references in the chorus.Watch Katy Perry California Gurls Official Music Video Uncensored Version Exposed HereHate to break it to you, Katy, but that started right here in the South.
